I've seen this on other responsive sites, but I want to make one block position 100% wide. For instance it would be a header or slider that would basically be one position in one block. But I want to keep the rest of the template at the fixed width (960px for instance).

is there something I can do to make this happen?

Hi jonathan rosenbaum,

Just remove class 'container' on the block that you want to make it full 100%.
You can take a look at the t3-mainnav block. It is full 100% (though, inner tag has container class, so the content inside it align center).
