Hello,

am trying to figure out whether there is a position (usually found at top-right) to be used for joomla language switcher. You can have a look at the template here: http://demo.jomres.net/index.php?lang=en

I have seen in templatename\etc\layout\home-1.ini (actually it's the layout being used in template manager) that there are the following lines:

[languageswitcherload]
position="languageswitcherload"

I have tried to set the language switcher module at 'languageswitcherload' but no luck.

Using domain.com/?tp=1 does not reveal anything about positions at top of the template

Regards,

Hi Kurt,

The site you mentioned could be customized by Joomres. You can check the default T3 template: http://demo.t3-framework.org/joomla30/index.php/en/
The language switcher module position is on the top right corner of the site. The module position name is "languageswitcherload". You can check the position mode in the link: http://demo.t3-framework.org/joomla30/index.php/en/?tp=1
If you can not view the position mode, please so to: Extensions > Template Manager > Hit the "Options" button and enable the "Preview Module Positions " field: http://easycaptures.com/fs/uploaded/834/9815909437.png

Hello and thanks for replying, :)

"The site you mentioned could be customized by Joomres. You can check the default T3 template: http://demo.t3-framework.org/joomla30/index.php/en/"
>>>> Yes it has been customized by the Jomres team but they do not provide support (paid or not)

"The language switcher module position is on the top right corner of the site. The module position name is "languageswitcherload". You can check the position mode in the link: http://demo.t3-framework.org/joomla30/index.php/en/?tp=1";
>>>> Yes, like mentioned I have tried to assign the 'Language Switcher' module at the 'languageswitcherload' module but it will not show up.

"If you can not view the position mode, please so to: Extensions > Template Manager > Hit the "Options" button and enable the "Preview Module Positions " field: http://easycaptures.com/fs/uploaded/834/9815909437.png"
>>> I have set already set 'Preview Module Positions' in 'Template Manager' options, and other 'modules positions' are showing up, the 'languageswitcherload' does not show up however.

I guess 1 parameter is missing somewhere so that this position can be used. :p

Hi,

Sorry for the late reply. I checked your site and see that its has no language switcher module position: http://easycaptures.com/fs/uploaded/853/9792050674.png
I am afraid you have to add it manually and this could require some customization to make it fit your site. You can check the position in your site from this link: https://www.domain.com/en/?tp=1/

Regards.

Anyway I have set it again at 'languageswitcherload' but like explained it's not showing up.

Hi again,

You have to add new position for language switcher first then assign the module to the position. Check out more info at: http://www.t3-framework.org/documentation/bs3-layout-system#add-position
