Hello,

we are using t3 for multiple sites. The oldest is near one year old.
Not long ago we noticed that we have an 1.7 Gb folder (t3-assets/js) with 3000 JS files.
Details:
Development Mode: Off
Optimize CSS: On
Optimize JS: On with JSMin

We checked our other sites where we used newer and newer T3 versions, but there are 100-200 Mb JS files everywhere.
What can we do? Why do not delete the framework the old files?
Please help!

Regards,
David

I can not give you exact time to fix the issue as we need more time to check the issue from our side. I will raise issue once I can confirm it's a bug of T3. At that time, we will send you issue link and you can check its status.

Regards.

Hi,

It could be permission issue. Please delete it the folder manually. We will check the issue from our server, if it's t3 bug, we will have plan to fix it.

Thanks for your report.

Regards.

Hi,

Thanks your answer.
We tested the deleting with a simple unlink function, it works well.
The webspace has 755 folder and 644 file permissions.

If it's a t3 bug, approximately when can you check and solve it?

We would like to ask you to notify us from the result!

If this is only local problem, we have to solve it.

Regards,
David

We have an idea about this problem (the problem is still exists).
Our websites using a lot of plugins, for example sigpro, rsform, phocamaps etc... So there are pages that using + js files than others. I think if the js files for the actual page is different from the generated others, then t3 will generate a new js file for that page. If for some reason the js files composition changes, it will cause more and more files.
Maybe there are 1000+ combinations of the included js files, or additionally there are maybe some old without deletion.
