Howdy all,

Created a website that uses the home / home-2 layout for the homepage only. The page includes a 12 column home-1 position that is styled to have a 100% width, thus allowing for a full page background image and so forth. I also removed the article content section on the homepage, as this page had no need of it and it only added extra parts the page did not need at the time. The home-1 position is used with a custom HTML module that allows styling across the whole page. This may not be the best solution to have a 100% width homepage without a article content area, though at the time the project had a small deadline and this was the best solution we could come up with at the time.

The problem with this is when using the search function on the homepage, no search box will appear with results or the search terms used. Instead it still just displays the homepage content / module. It seems it relies on the article content area, though as this is removed from the homepage, it doesn't function. Is there a method I could get the search function working on such a homepage?

Thanks for your time.
