Hello, I'm tasked with migrating a Joomla 1.5 website to Joomla 3.x. This website appears to have a custom template created using T3 Framework 2.0.

The site has a plugin named JA T3 Framework,
which contains a plugin file named jat3.php and description reading:
"T3 Framework - JoomlArt Template Framework for Joomla 1.5"

How do you recommend migrating this template to a new Joomla 3.1 website?

Reading about migration tools, it seems like SP Upgrade will migrate all the existing database tables of my Joomla 1.5 website into the Joomla 3.1 website. It seems after I do this database migration, I could install at my new website some version of the T3 Framework and then what?

I don't know much about the T3 Framework, except that it seems very different than my usual method of providing templates for Joomla websites, which is to install a template from JoomlaShack then modify its settings and CSS.

I am tempted to try the same method for this new website, or modify the ProtoStar template, but that could be unnecessary work if there's an easy way to adapt the website's existing template to work in Joomla 3.1.

Got any suggestions?

Thanks in advance,
Carol

Hi Carol Mattsson,

The current T3 framework (v3) does not compatible with older JA T3 framework.
You can not upgrade or migrate your framework and template to T3.
I think, the only way is create a new template based on your current template in the way of new T3.
Please checkout for some developer document for more information.
