I'm looking to lower the main navigation and place a block position above it. Can anyone point me in a direction (files I need to look at) as to how I might be able to do that? Thank you very much.

Hi Don,

You need to understand layout structure of T3. A layout is built up from multiple blocks, each block loads one or many position. Everything related to layout is located in folder:
your_site_root_folder/templates/t3_bs3_blank/tpls.

I suggest you to load a position above main navigation. Open the header.php file in folder: templates/t3_bs3_blank/tpls/blocks then load a position. The header block includes logo, search, off-canvas sidebar.
