Resolved different layouts for different pages

Hello,

Similar questions have been asked but I can't find an appropriate answer.

The thing is that I know several layouts can be modified or created from the Template Manager pages.
But then, how can I say for example, the "home" article will use the "home-1" layout and the "about" article will use "default-content-left".

I could not find how to achieve it under the Template Manager, or the Article edition or the Menu edition.

This is actually a Joomla template question.

In Template Manager, duplicate an existing Template Style - then edit that style to what you need in the Template Style edit page, using ThemeMagic &etc.

Next, allocate this new Template Style to the relevant Menu Item from the Template Styles Assignment tab.

This way your default template with be the one applied to any menu items you create, but you can have a different layout and look allocated to individual pages.

@Chamira Athauda: it's absolutely true that this is a Joomla question.

@Guillaume: Here is the answer for your question.

1. Assign article "home" to menu item A
2. Assign article "about" to menu item B
3. Create a template style, switch to "home" layout and assign to menu item A
4. Create a template style, switch to "default-content-left" layout and assign to menu item B

That's the workflow of Joomla to override template style.
