I installed latest Purity III.
It gives 5 menu item type
xLayout - Blog Displays article introductions in a single or multi-column layout.
xLayout - Features Intro Displays article introductions in a single or multi-column layout.
xLayout - Glossary Displays article introductions in a single or multi-column layout.
xLayout - Magazine Displays article introductions in a single or multi-column layout.
xLayout - Portfolio Displays article introductions in a single or multi-column layout.

Please give me some suggestions for creating my menu item type - xLayout - MyPage

Hi Aleks,

Very good question. To create new layout (menu type), for example we need to create menu type: xLayout - MyPage, simply add the following files in the "templates/purity_iii/html/com_content/category/"

1. xmypage.xml file -> define parameters for the menu type
2. xmypage.php file -> define the listing layout of the page
3. xmypage_item.php file -> define the detail page in the layout

The best way to create a new layout is duplicating a layout that meets your expectation most by cloning all the files of the layout then rename and customize the layout files.
